Soccer night in the South Philly ‘burbs

21 07 2011

I arrived in Philadelphia yesterday, went to my hotel and got settled , then caught a ride to the Philadelphia Union-Everton match last night at PPL Park.

It’s the start of a long sports weekend in eastern PA. Man it is humid out there. Union match last night, Philadelphia Phillies tomorrow night, Union-Real Madrid Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field.

PPL Park in suburban Chester is a nice soccer facility. Amazing how close everything is…Jersey and Delaware are just a few miles away. You can read my coverage from the match here and here, also thanks to the Union media relations staff and Aimee Cicero for taking good care of me. Photos below.

Sebastien Le Toux doing what makes him popular anywhere he goes.
